ABOUT

NEXT STEP: POLAND is a student-led initiative, which aims to promote career and internship opportunities in Poland. The event’s main goal is to tighten collaboration between Polish students in the UK and employers in Poland.

The second edition of the project will take place on the 16th January 2016 in The Cambridge Union Society’s building sited in central Cambridge. The conference will be centred around the "Innovation in Business" topic.

During the event the participants will have the opportunity to take part in a discussion panel on career perspectives in Poland, presentations of career and internship opportunities, workshop sessions and, last but not least, a traditional formal networking dinner at Selwyn College, Cambridge.

NEXT STEP: Poland 2016 will take place in The Cambridge Union Society’s building sited in central Cambridge.

The building was opened in October 1866, however, back then it was only about half of the size of what we can admire today. Since 1866, it has undergone several major renovations after it has been exposed to fires, and damaged with one of the few Nazi bombs dropped over Cambridge during WWII. Fortunately, the Debating Chamber, the most famous room in the building, remained virtually intact, and we can still enjoy its original beauty from over 140 years ago.

Cambridge University Polish Society is honoured to invite the NSP2016 participants to the impressive interiors of the Union’s building, which have welcomed in the past Margaret Thatcher, Judi Dench, Clint Eastwood, Prof Stephen Hawking, and numerous other renowned speakers representing various disciplines.
